The deadline for nominations from the educational community for the 2014 Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education has been extended to 21 March. EI encourages affiliates and partners to send in nominations before the new deadline.

Established in 1988, the prize annually recognises outstanding individuals who have dedicated themselves to improving education within the US. This year, persons outside of the US are also eligible to apply.

The 2014 awards will honour those who have found ways to successfully narrow a particular kind of achievement gap or gaps in education internationally in a manner that lends itself to replication on a broad scale. This will include any level, from elementary and secondary education to higher education.
