The Global Labour University invites trade unionists from all over the world to register for its ENGAGE Programme with the aim of strengthening the intellectual and strategic capacity of workers and their organisations.
The Global Labour University’s ENGAGE Programme is offered by the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and receives support from the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the International Labour Organisation.
This eight-week trade union leadership programme helps labour activists and trade unionists to acquire additional knowledge and tools enabling them to actively participate in public debate and the process of policy formulation and implementation.
Topics to be discussed include: global governance, global wage policy/finance, labour and development, society and development, trade union capacity building, and a practical research project.
This training programme represents a unique international experience that offers new opportunities for global networking and fostering stronger working relationships among trade unions.
It will take place in March/April 2017 and applications must be submitted by 30 October at the latest.
