Oct 4, the eve of World Teachers’ Day, sees the launch of Education International’s Unite for Quality Education Campaign. Simultaneously held in Paris and New York, the event will be webcast live, and discussed on various social media channels.
Launched by UN Special Envoy for Education Gordon Brown and EI President Susan Hopgood in New York, and UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova and EI General Secretary Fred van Leeuwen in Paris, the launch events will see the unveiling of the campaign hub, www.unite4education.org, presentations of infographics by the Global Monitoring Report, partner pledges and a Global Teachers Forum, which will analyse the major barriers to better quality education for a better world
