Education International’s role is to collect and disseminate information on current development co-operation programmes and activities implemented worldwide.
The Development cooperation database has been elaborated for that purpose. This is a key tool for EI member organisations to showcase the many contributions they make in strengthening teacher unions worldwide, to share experience, to identify the needs of organisations in developing countries as well as to avoid duplication and encourage synergies between DC partners’ efforts at national level.
Development cooperation partners involved in bilateral or multilateral/consortium cooperation are invited to provide EI regularly with updates on their current programmes and inform EI of any new programme to be shared with others through the database.
The EI DC database accessible in English, Spanish and French can be consulted at: http://www.ei-ie.org/developmentcooperation/en/index.php. Visitors are able to search for a project by date, host country, region and theme.
