Mr IP Kin-yuen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and a Master of Education from the University of Hong Kong. He is currently the Vice President of Hong Kong Professional Teachers’ Union and the Legislative Council Member of Hong Kong. He was a secondary school teacher, principal, and lecturer at the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIED). He was President of The Comparative Education Society of Hong Kong and member of the steering committee of the Eight-Nations Education Research Project hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
